A NEW YEAR
“You frown the year with your goodness, and your paths drip with abundance”
There new year of 2021 is here and we are thirty-one days into it. A new year signals change, a fresh start and new opportunities to move forward in life. Here in Psalm 65, the palmist David is praising God a new year and thanking Him for the goodness and abundance that will come. David’s words here are overflowing with thanksgiving for four things. David is giving thanks ….
1. For ANSWERED prayer - “O you who hear prayer” verse 2
2. For FORGIVENESS as seen in verse 3, - “… you atone for our transgressions.”
3. For the PRESENCE of God - “Blessed is the one you choose to bring near, to dwell in your courts …” verse 4
4. For God’s POWER over all things - “By his awesome deed …“the one by his strength …” “who stills the roaring of the seas …”verses 5-7 As we are now into a new year begin each day praising God.
Start with praising Him for your prayers being answered, his forgiveness to you, his presences with you and his power that is available to you Let’s look to the LORD in 2021. He has so much that He wants to do in us and through us. It all starts with giving thanks and praise to Him for what He has done and is doing.
